Written by a pair of NYC based writers (who also wrote the rest of the film’s songs), the song became a classic and an all time favorites. Lyricist Yip Harburg, though he was never credited for that. It was written for the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz and was sung by actress Judy Garland in her starring role as Dorothy Gale. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and became Garland's signature song. About five minutes into the film, Dorothy sings the song after failing to get Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, and the farm hands to listen to her story of an unpleasant incident involving her dog, Toto, and the town spinster, Miss Gulch (Margaret Hamilton). „Over the Rainbow” to bardzo sympatyczna melodia. Nic więc dziwnego, że producenci powracają do niej co jakiś czas. Tym razem mamy wersję z pompką, której autorem jest KYANU. Przypomnijmy historię tego bardzo starego utworu. To z pewnością bardzo stary utwór, kiedy porównamy go do wielu innych odświeżanych obecnie na współczesną nutę. „Over the Rainbow” liczy sobie dziś 81 lat! Niżej przedstawiamy jego genezę, jak zwykle, najpierw – nowa wersja. A tej podjął się KYANU. KYANU ma zaledwie 18 lat , ale wyrobił sobie renomę na elektronicznej scenie muzycznej. Wydaje głównie w niemieckim labelu Playbox. Współpracował już z takimi artystami jak twoloud czy Sidney Samson, a jego utwory wspierali najwięksi – David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Hardwell czy Don Diablo. Trzeba przyznać,że ta nowa adaptacja słynnej piosenki została zrobiona chwytliwie. Lekka pompka, ciekawy (i znany) lajt motyw powodują, że chce się tego słychać i tańczyć.
